About EvenKin
EvenKin is a web application for families who share the care of someone they love. This page explains what the product does, the problem it was built for, who is behind it, and how it pays for itself, so you can decide whether to trust it with your family's information.
What EvenKin is
EvenKin gives everyone who helps care for a loved one one private place to record what happened, see what comes next, and understand how the work is actually divided. It runs in any browser, on any phone or computer, and the person receiving care never has to touch a screen.
It is not medical software and it does not replace doctors, nurses or home aides. Its job is narrower and very practical: keep every helper working from the same facts, so decisions get made once instead of being argued again in every chat thread, and so the person doing the most is not also the only one holding the information in their head.
The problem we set out to solve
When a parent starts needing help, the coordination problem arrives long before anyone calls it caregiving. Care quietly consolidates onto one person, usually the sibling who lives closest, and the rest of the family underestimates the load because they never see it in one place.
Most families do not lack good will. What they lack is a shared record. Updates scatter across a group chat, a spreadsheet somebody maintains alone, and three different memories of what the doctor said. The invisible parts of the work, the phone calls, the insurance disputes, the pharmacy runs, the nights on call, leave no trace at all, so the effort is discussed from impressions instead of facts. That gap is where resentment grows, and it grows quietly for months before anyone names it. EvenKin exists to close it: when the effort is written down as it happens, a family can talk about the split while looking at the same picture.
How EvenKin works
You create a private care space for your loved one, invite everyone who helps with a single link, and log care as it happens. Signing in uses a magic link sent to your email, so there is no password for anyone to forget.
The shared care log covers visits, medications given, meals and appetite, simple vitals, expenses and free notes. Every entry carries an author and a time, which is the whole point: over weeks the same entries quietly show who is doing the work. Reminders and a shared agenda keep appointments and doses from depending on one person's memory, and a weekly on call rotation makes explicit who takes the first call this week.
The Fairness Index summarizes how the effort divides across the family over 7, 30 and 90 days, broken down by type of care, so a family can review the arrangement with data instead of impressions. Medications, documents, doctors and emergency contacts live in the Health Vault, which is encrypted at rest with a key kept outside the database and is visible only to the members of your circle. EvenKin runs as a web app and installs as a PWA, so nothing has to come from an app store, and the relative who refuses new apps can still join from the same invite link in their browser.
Who is behind EvenKin
EvenKin is an independent product. It is not part of a health insurer, a hospital group or a care agency, and it is built and operated by AEA INTELIGENCIA ARTIFICIAL LTDA, a company registered in Brazil (CNPJ 57.601.923/0001-16) and based in Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul.
We build from Brazil and we serve families in the United States, in English. The people who write the software are the same people who answer the support address on this site, which means a message about a broken flow reaches somebody who can change the code. We publish the infrastructure we depend on rather than hiding it: Railway for hosting, Neon for the database, Resend for email delivery, Paddle for payments and Cloudflare for DNS and network. Each one receives only what it needs, and the full list with the reasoning lives in our Privacy Policy.
How EvenKin pays for itself
EvenKin is paid for by the people who use it. The Free plan covers one care space and the last 7 days of history, with no card required. EvenKin Pro costs US$ 19.90 per month or US$ 149 per year, and one subscription covers every member of the care circle, so a family only ever pays once.
Payments are processed by Paddle as Merchant of Record, which means Paddle is the seller of record, handles taxes and issues the invoice, and EvenKin never sees or stores your card number. You can cancel at any time and keep your records on the free plan, and any charge can be refunded in full within 14 days, no questions asked. Being funded by subscriptions is what lets us state the next section plainly instead of hedging it.
What we will not do
- We do not sell your personal data. Not to advertisers, not to data brokers, not to insurers.
- No advertising on health pages. On the free plan, ads may appear only on the general dashboard, never on a page that contains health information.
- We do not read your Health Vault. Access is limited to the members of your care circle by design, and that restriction is covered by automated tests on every release.
- We do not pretend to be a medical service. EvenKin organizes what your family writes down. It gives no medical advice and it is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
